Business Growth and History
  • 1996

Advanced Resource Managers was set up on 27th August 1996 by Paul Huntingdon (Chairman), as an IT and Business recruitment company in Waterlooville.

  • 1997

From Waterlooville we moved to Port Solent, starting with one office cell and expanding to four. We also hired more staff to manage increasing business.

  • 1999

In December 1999 ARM achieved ISO9002 accreditation from ISOQAR.

  • 2000

In 2000 Mike Gawthorne (then Operations Director, now MD) and Paul Martin (BD Director) joined ARM, setting up a new engineering division.

  • 2002

In 2002 ARM moved to Langstone Technology Park in Havant. The park is a base for a number of very prominent local high-technology businesses.

  • ARM’s IT and Engineering sectors continued to grow significantly.

ARM won a master vendorship for an international integrated systems supplier, taking care of its whole recruitment process. In recognition of our rapid growth we were ranked 54th Fastest Growing Company by The Sunday Times.

  • 2004

In 2004 ARM set up a Training division offering a choice of technical IT, PC applications, project management and management development training courses.

  • 2005

In 2005 ARM was a finalist for the "Recruitment Consultancy of the year" category of the Computing Awards and "Best IT Recruiter" category of the Recruiter Awards. We also joined The Professional Contractor’s Group.

  • 2006

Another fantastic year in which we achieved our Investors in People status, as well as continued growth.

  • 2007

We enjoyed more success in 2007, winning ‘Best Understanding of Candidates' needs’ and ‘Best Industry Knowledge’ categories in Jobsite's RecruitRank Awards. We employed 100 staff and launched a staff share scheme, announcing our plans to float on the stock exchange in the near future.

  • 2008

In order to manage further business growth we continued to hire specialist staff and expanded our office space. We launched a much-improved new company website, which garnered us a National Online Recruitment Award for Best National Agency Website. In addition to this we were finalists in the following awards:

    • Entrepreneur of the year (Paul Huntingdon, Chairman)
    • Computer Award for Excellence
  • 2009

2009 was a year of considerable achievement:

    • Been awarded Best Companies 1 star status (ranking us as one of the top 600 Companies to Work For 2009)
    • Achieved ISO14001:2004 accreditation (the environmental quality standard)
    • Hired specialist recruiters to assist our penetration into Environment, Power and Energy, Oil and Gas and Engineering Sales recruitment markets.
    • We launched ARM Consulting, a practice dedicated to providing some of the more sophisticated talent management solutions such as RPO, RPI, MV and NV, Search and Selection and more.
  • 2010

By the time spring had sprung, 2010 already felt like a "banner year" for ARM. We launched our iGaming division, which serves its namesake - one of the burgeoning industries of recent years. And, in a very exciting development and after an appropriately long gestation period (we wanted to get it right), ARM rebranded.
