What it is and how it works
In a nutshell, our recommend a friend scheme is a bonus
scheme encouraging ARM staff to help us find high quality employees
who will fit in well with our culture and be a benefit to our
organization.
£1,000 is available to employees of ARM whose recommendation
leads to the successful appointment of a new member of staff.
(There are a few terms and conditions, but they are neither very
restricting, nor intended to put people off, nor to deny people the
chance to participate).
Good employees are our most valuable resource, and as we trust
our staff and know that they believe in the ARM brand, we feel they
can be some of our best “in-house” talent scouts when it comes to
identifying new staff from amongst their friends, former colleagues
or other acquaintances. We reward them accordingly.
If you work for ARM (terms allowing) and make a recommendation
that leads to somebody being successfully employed by us, we will
pay you £500 after they complete their 6-month probation and
another £500 after they complete their first year with us.
You do not need any length of service with ARM to qualify for
this, because we acknowledge that new staff can and do open up new
avenues of communication with new peer groups.
Who are we looking for? Who suits the business?
The qualities we look for in new recruits depend on the nature
of the internal role for which we are recruiting - but we welcome
people who will help to take our business forward, and who are
determined to deliver a high standard of service.
A strong desire both to succeed in your role and deliver a very
high level of professional service will always stand you in good
stead at ARM.
Depending on the role, the below qualities are generally
advantageous.
Drive and motivation
Self-motivated, driven and determined. Possessing a proactive
work style, and willing to take the initiative. Enjoying a
challenge, and able to thrive in an often hectic work
environment.
Confidence and a positive attitude
We like people who enjoy a challenge and who always look for
solutions. We actively encourage entrepreneurialism.
Tenacity
Our sales staff in particular need to be able to deal with
setbacks, difficult situations and difficult people. Recruitment
requires a great deal of persistence and tenacity, and a level of
emotional control.
Team work and empathy
Our staff need to be good at relating to people. Teamwork, and
the desire to help, is essential at ARM. Approachability, patience,
and the ability both to listen and probe are important. You will
need to be accommodating whilst strong enough to manage a
challenging job role.
Adaptability
ARM staff need to multitask and switch quickly between the
various demands of their role.
Organisation
In order to manage demanding workloads, we need to be structured
and skilled at prioritising.
Conscientiousness
One of our key USPs is quality. We therefore need staff who are
reliable, trustworthy, committed and honest, so that they help to
maintain the ARM brand and also contribute fairly to our team
effort.
Influence
Our recruitment staff in particular need to be persuasive. Lots
of our support staff have both internal and external customers and
many must also be able to exercise considerable influence, both
within and outside the company.
ARM is committed to diversity
and equal opportunities.
