I joined Advanced Resource Managers in
August 2009 having already been in recruitment for 13 years at that
time. I was looking to work for an organisation that held the same
ethical and moral ideas that I do when it comes to the delivery of
recruitment services to its clients. I was very impressed as soon
as I initially spoke to Jacqueline Snow as she was knowledgeable
and passionate about ARM and what it was trying to achieve. That
passion was clearly evident when I met Samantha Templer and Mike
Gawthorne in my first interview and then again when I gave my
presentation to Paul Huntingdon, Damian Hicklin and Luke South at
my second interview. I was thrilled when I was offered a role to
join the business and had no hesitation in accepting the offer.
I was initially taken on to support a main
client account in a Senior Account Management role, but with the
development of ARM Consulting into the Managed Service space which
closely matched my career background, I moved to ARM Consulting 4
months after joining. This allowed me to continue to develop those
skills whilst supporting the growth of the ARM Consulting Managed
Service provision. ARM is a company that is keen to get the best
out of its employees and this was definitely reflected in the
positive change of role that I underwent, so soon after being
hired.
As Practice Lead for the Managed Service
division of ARM Consulting there is no such thing as a typical day.
As a team we support a number of clients in both the Automotive and
Engineering space and are currently implementing a new agreement in
the IT space which commences in full in August 2011.
Fundamental to the success of any Managed
Service agreement is service delivery and the adherence to service
level agreements and key performance indicators. Our team works
closely with our clients, the ARM service delivery teams and also
those of our second tier supply chain who support our main
agreements.
We have also implemented eTimesheets in one of
these clients and use the eRecruitment tool Eploy to service client
demand. It is using these value added solutions that helps with the
ongoing success of our accounts.
Day to day I could be involved in any of the
following:
- Client review meetings and communication
- Second tier supplier meetings and communication
- Generating Management Information reports
- Answering eTimesheet queries
- New supplier reviews
- Contract reviews
- Process change and implementation
- Supporting day to day client recruitment
- Liaising with ARM Service Delivery teams re current and
forecasted requirements
- Conducting internal and 1:1 meetings
Going forward I am keen to develop my career
further with ARM and know that if I continue to put the effort in
then I will be supported and rewarded accordingly. We work hard at
here at ARM, but it is a company where if you put the effort in the
business will both support and reward you.
I was one of the very lucky ones to be
rewarded with a trip to Barcelona as part of ARM’s inaugural Elite
Club trip (part of our reward scheme) in the late Spring of 2011.
This was proof positive that if you work hard and achieve goals you
can be rewarded with the most amazing benefits. I will have very
fond memories of the trip for years to come and our fantastic
prize, or one like it, should be something that others in the
business strive to be able to experience with ARM in the
future.
If you want to join an organisation where
you work hard, are rewarded for your efforts and where you can
either establish or develop your career, ARM is definitely the
place to be.
