A day in the life of...

What's life at ARM really like?

We want to give you a bit of an insight into the daily machinations of the company: not a sexed-up bit of PR, but an actual slice of life from a broad base of our staff, as written by them.

We haven’t necessarily chosen "superstar performers" (although we’re proud of all our staff and yes, lots of the people below do very well) or those people you can always rely on to say the right thing. Indeed, if some people seem to load on the enthusiasm with a trowel and others less so, well, that’s people for you, isn’t it? In truth, this is a randomly-chosen group of ARM staff writing honestly and without edit.

Anyway, here we go, we hope you find this useful:

Andrew Vaughan

Resourcer, IT

I get in nice and early to check my mountain of emails - this will include all advert responses, tasks to be done and things to catch up on from the day before. (The early bird catches the worm!). Deborah Wetherall
Resourcing Partner - Major Master Vendor Client

I’m a bit of an early bird and like to get into the office at around 7:30am so that I can check through emails, get myself and the rest of the team a nice cup of tea and make sure I am ready for the day ahead. Sam Hill
Social Media Executive

I usually arrive to work early to allow time to catch up on news and developments within the ‘online’ space, and also to catch up on and prioritise an ever increasing barrage of emails that find their way to my inbox. If there are articles that present an opportunity towards my objectives and remit I will bookmark these for actioning later in the day....
